Are Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham still together?
Tonight the Bachelor really did deliver the most dramatic finale in Bachelor history as Arie Luyendyk got down on one knee and proposed to 27-year-old Becca Kufrin after a tearful breakup with 25-year-old Lauren Burnham. The couple seems happy and hopeful about their future together even joking about children, BUT there is a GIANT plot twist. after some secret alone time with Becca, Arie reconsiders his final choice and decides that he really wants Lauren.
And in one hell of an “After” show, Arie breaks up with Becca on camera in a private meeting. Becca seems in denial at first as though she keeps waiting for Arie to change his mind, but Arie is resolute and is not budging. He keeps insisting that he is in love with Lauren and is ready to explore that relationship.
And tomorrow we will see producers head to Lauren’s house in Virginia to ambush her and see if she is still interested. Lauren will decide whether or not to accept Arie’s amazing offer. I thought surely, she would have the good sense to cut and run, BUT…….
Spoiler alert! Lauren accepts Arie’s proposal.
UPDATE:
Arie got down on one knee during the AFTR live special.
“I have made some bad decisions, but the best decision was running back to you. I can’t imagine a life without you. You have shown me a love that is patient, a love that is kind, and I truly believe you are my soul mate,” Arie said. “I’m ready to face this life with you and all that comes with it. Good and bad. I love you so much. And I want to do this in front of everyone because I want to show you that I should have done this a long time ago.”
He presents her with a 3.6 carat Neil Lane engagement ring and she says “definitely!”
Chris Harrison quips, “I hope this engagement lasts a longer time!”
Arie revealed, “We’re going on a little vacation. We’re going to get out of the country for a little bit and then Lauren is going to move to Arizona.”
Yeah, that’s probably for the best Arie…..
