FYI’s new reality series  ‘Married at First Sight’ just wrapped and everyone has been anxiously waiting to see the couples now 6 months later in the much anticipated GMA interview that aired this morning on ABC.

We now know that 2 out of 3 couples decided to stay married, Bachelor star and 27-year-old Delivery Nurse Jamie Otis and her husband 31-year-old commercial sales rep Doug Hehner as well as the youngest couple, 26 year-old Burlesque Dancer and make-up artist Cortney Hendrix and 27 year-old  EMT Jason Carrion.

Reporter Linsey Davis from ABC News sat down with two of the three couples, Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis and Vaughn Copeland and Monet Bell on Monday in New York City.

Doug Hehner began the interview,

“We’ve had some pretty in-depth talks and the whole experiment makes you do things backwards”…..“You’re talking about your finances and debts sitting at the wedding table,” he said. “All those important conversations, and we had to go through a lot, which brought us even closer together.”

Jamie Otis was not attracted to Doug at first sight at all….

“I wasn’t attracted to him initially,” she said. “I felt like this was just an absolute crazy idea.”

Linsey also sat down with the one couple who decided to divorce — Monet Bell, 33, a product development manager in New York City and Vaughn Copeland, 30, a field service technician from Long Island, N.Y. The couple did have excellent physical chemistry “at first sight” but did not have the right chemistry in their relationship.

“It was just a bad match,” claimed Monet, “I learned that you need love.”

“I think if Vaughn and I had been dating and loved each other and had emotional attachments to each other, a lot of the things that bothered us about each other wouldn’t have been as big as they turned out to be.” Yikes! You could tell these two actually really started to dislike each other as the show progressed.

“I would say the last 6 months or so were a little rough,” added Vaughn.

Matchmakers Dr Pepper Schwartz,  Greg Epstein, Dr Logan Levkoff and  Dr Joseph Cilona were the experts who made these matches and all and all they did a pretty good job. Two outta three ain’t bad!!

The three couples will appear together again in the two-hour reunion special, “Married at First Sight: Six Months Later,” airing Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. on FYI.
