Sarah Herron speaks on her relationship with Robert Graham

The Bachelor in Paradise finale was shocking–and the most shocking moment was not the engagement of Marcus and Lacy but the break-up of 31-year-old Robert Graham and 27-year-old Sarah Herron after a disastrous Fantasy Suite episode. Robert appeared to be falling for the Junior Art Director even claiming dibs on her to new arrival Brooks Forester.

So it was a big shock that when it came time for the couple to actually enjoy some alone time in the Fantasy Suite Robert showed zero interest in Sarah.

So everyone has been dying to hear what Sarah thought about the controversial situation.

Here is what Sarah had to say in her Parade Magazine blog:

“…..Later that night, Chris arrived (again) to tell us the three remaining couples would now be going on over-night fantasy suite dates.”

“This was a fairly surreal moment for me, and one that I had not-so-secretly been waiting for. My relationship with Robert began slowly but continued to gain steady momentum—the thing we really needed was alone time. As viewers saw, Robert is kind and easy on the eyes, but he’s guarded and not easy to read. I usually like mysterious guys but Robert is next level. He had a wall up that I was struggling to bring down, so I knew this time alone would either be exactly what we needed—or it would be a deal breaker.”

The next morning after the Fantasy Suite dates it was clear that Sarah was bummed. The other two couples were on cloud 9 and Sarah realizes something was off. “I wanted to be awake all night, getting to know Robert and Robert getting to know me. And that didn’t happen. At all,” she explains. “I felt rejected. Robert didn’t want to be physical with me…I want to be leaving Paradise in love, but right now I’m not feeling that way.”

Sarah goes on in her blog:

“Unfortunately, it ended up being the latter. I don’t need to get into specifics—I already did during the episode. I wasn’t able to connect with Robert the way I had wanted that night and I woke up the next morning feeling as though I spent the night with a great friend, not a man who found me irresistible—physically or emotionally. For this stage of the game, that’s not a good feeling to wake up to. I wanted to wake up so in love, bursting at the seams and giddy to be eating breakfast in bed. But I didn’t. I felt awkward, uncomfortable, and unloved. I knew in my heart I could not leave Paradise in a relationship with Robert, feeling this way. I had to break up with him.”

It was clear that something was off. This was not just a case of a guy who had a hard time expressing himself. It doesn’t appear that the two have spoken since the disaster, but it looks like Sarah is certainly opening to mending the situation.
