Tonight Canada Bachelor Tim Warmels heads to Tahiti with his final two amazing ladies 28-year-old Edmonton Beauty Queen, Trisha Vergo and 27-year-old Wasaga Beach Realtor April Brockman to meet his family.
And more importantly to hit the Fantasy Suites! Heyooooo! So in Canada it’s only proper to take 2 girls to the Fantasy Suites. Here in the States you get 3 Fantasy Suite dates.
So Tim and Trisha land on the Island of Moorea and go horseback riding.
And I have to say Trisha is JUST as professional on a horse as she is on skates. This girl wins in the charm category for sure—which can be a plus and a minus.
Trish and Tim enjoy an impromptu picnic where Trisha reiterates how strongly she feels about him (which is important for Tim because he is seriously worried about being dumped in the end). So he gives Trisha his patented forehead neck press which is what Tim does when he either doesn’t know what to say or his Bachelor contract does not allow him to respond.
At dinner, the two get the long awaited Fantasy Suite date card where they can ‘choose to forgo their individual rooms and stay as a couple in the Fantasy Suite’ aka they can have sex finally and examine the goods before making a final decision.
Cut to April’s date, April is on the verge of a serious meltdown and awkwardly proclaims, “Nice to see you!” before their yacht date.
Tim claims in an ITM: “She has to believe that it’s worth taking the chance on us”. I get the feeling that Tim is afraid April will reject him. She doesn’t seem as “in to Tim” as Trisha does and I am half expecting her to walk right off the show next week.
I am not sure why any girl would doubt the process of meeting a life partner in 9 weeks on a reality show!
Tim asks April over dinner if she’s ready for a proposal and she looks like she is strategizing an escape plan rather than looking forward to a possible proposal. She tells Tim that she is questioning whether or not it’s ‘real’. WHAT?! How could anyone question whether or The Bachelor is ‘real’? But she does accept the FS card and the chance to ‘take it to the next level’ aka sex.
My favorite line from tonight:
“My Fantasy Dates with Trisha and April were amazing and now I get to introduce them to both my mom and dad”! How many times does a guy get to say that?!
Both women meet Tim’s parents and the two meetings could not have been more different. But BOTH are uncomfortable!
Tim reminds us that his father Peter and mother Margaret have been married for more than 30 years. Peter seems really friendly and easy-going while Margaret seems like one tough cookie here, but she is remarkably hot! She comes off very intimidating tonight especially in that tiny Tahitian hut. Does ‘Marg’ not believe in ‘the process’?
So Marg takes Trisha outside and whips out a list of questions. She claims that it’s ‘an interview for a lifetime job’!
Trisha handles the awkward meeting with all of the charm and grace you would expect from a pageant queen. Nails it!!
April, however, blunders big time–extending a hand for a handshake in lieu of a hug for her future in-laws. April has trouble answering the question about what it is that she likes about Tim! Oh no!
Cut to the next day where April calls Tim to come and meet her at her hotel room (a common move when one of the finalists is about to be eliminated sans rose ceremony but usually it’s the other way around!)
April is in full panic mode, so panicked that she doesn’t even care that cameras are filming her unkempt hotel room. She insists on meeting with Tim. It appears that Tim is determined to work it out with April–to get her to stay.
Stay tuned for next week on Part 2 of The Bachelor Canada Season 2 finale. Damn you Bachelor Canada production team!
I am actually thinking April walks off next week.
