Everyone knows that Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute, 32 and rebound/boyfriend James Kennedy, 23 are officially over and Kristen now has a new boyfriend Brian Carter, but now that Kristen can see it playing out on Bravo and can see how James is slamming her what does she think about their 1 1/2 year relationship?
Kristen Doute claims watching, “It was almost worse watching it than having it happen.”
She also says that she found out about James and Lala Kent shortly after confronting him at work thanks to SUR’s worst secret-kepper, 36-year-old Jax Taylor.
“By the time the Lala thing happened, I was already ready to break up with him,” Doute told E! News. Jax “kind of spilled it on accident, like Jax always does,” she says.
“I was already over it, but watching it and watching how proud James acts, no remorse…It’s so gross.”
Interestingly, Doute’s ex-coworkers sided with her over James which tells you how little they think of James.
Of course Doute has seen all of the ways that James’ has been dissing her publicly and no longer speaks to him. “I have him blocked in every way possible: social media, e-mail, phone.”
On screen she appears very distraught over Kennedy, but I guess she is over all of that now. Now she claims that Kennedy was just using her to get on the show.
Doute claims she had no intentions of getting in to a new relationship after Kennedy but that new beau Brian Carter swept her off her feet.
“For four years I’ve been a relationship gypsy. That’s how I’ve always been,” she says. “So, after James and I [broke up], I really wanted to focus the whole summer on working on me…I knew what I didn’t want in a relationship. I didn’t really know what I wanted. That was kind of the thing.”
“I kind of made it a rule for myself, like I was not going to be in a serious relationship for a long time, but in going through that, there’s no never or forever. I met someone who was great. There was no point in kind of staying away from it.”
