Burning Love Season 2 episode 1

In case you were worried that season 2 of Burning Love couldn’t possibly be as funny as season 1, well rest assured you will pee your pants once again watching this epically inappropriate and absurdly hilarious comedy spoof of The Bachelorette. I have to admit I didn’t know if they could possibly make the guys as funny and ridiculous as the amazing ladies from season 1 but relax fans….safe to say….they did.

Comedy genius and executive producer Ben Stiller has captured the essence of Bachelor absurdity to perfection.

BTW, don’t forget to watch Burning Love Burning Down the House. It is pretty amazing!

BTW Burning Love season 1 will make its debut on E! on Monday, Feb. 25 at 10 p.m. ET!

BurningLove-s2-02-630-jpg_004528June Diane Raphael as Julie KILLS it!!!!! Julie apparently had a brief stint as a lesbian after Burning Love 1. She ran off with contestant Carly but quickly discovered she was straight. Now she is back to find love because as she explains it the Bachelor “didn’t pick her”.

First off, I love that Julie is a Dental Hygienist from Fresno California!!! The pervasiveness of  Dental Hygienistry on The Bachelor kills me.

Julie meets with Ian Black to discuss the “journey” she is about to experience. Julie was told by her good friend Tee Tee (from Burning Love 1) there was one man to avoid…..Blaze who supposedly has a girlfriend. Julie comments that she will have to confront Blaze unless he’s “good looking”. Ian aka Chris Harrison says “I’m not allowed to tell you what’s going to happen but I can tell you that Blaze IS good-looking”.

I love the crazy conversation/pep-talk she has with herself when Chris Harrison leaves as the first limo rolls up! “Are you gonna be Ok baby girl,…..I don’t know, I don’t know.”

bl 2I think my favorite may be Leo, the guy that was born 2 months pre-mature and is preoccupied with his birth issues and being treated like a baby. I don’t even know who he is but he is killing it!

So I gotta give June Diane Raphael 5 clasped hands (our highest rating) for being such an amazing situation!!!

Damien (Adam Scott), the therapist from Season 1 is always amazing! He shows up and wants to engage in a very inappropriate relationship with Julie as her previous unlicensed therapist. As he exits the limo he says “Its pretty cool that I’m here right? but not as your therapist as a contestant”. Julie says “Oh but not as my therapist?”

Rob Huebel the real life prince from Bethesda Maryland WORKS AS a Prince….probably at Medieval Times or something.

Love Paul Scheer, the party motivator…..ha! ha!!! He is obviously really enthusiastic and fun.

nick-kroll-burning-love-600x369Then there is the drunk guy who has to be eliminated night one for his “aggressive behavior and urination”.

And just as the rose ceremony aka the “box ceremony” is about to begin Ian Black presents Julie with four bonus gentlemen!… all “gentlemen of color”–clearly a nod to ABC’s issues with claims of racism. Ian says “I can’t control whether you chose them or not I can only control that they get a fair and equal opportunity”.

Julie of course is not into any of “the bonus gentlemen” and is totally preoccupied with Blaze who has no interest in her whatsoever, and is just there to get some attention and to get some “down-time” before going to Cabo. Of course Julie is pretty sure they are in love immediately and has to change her panties after meeting him.

Julie is also pretty sure after meeting the contestants that her husband is in the room!!

Here is the list of characters starring in this epic season!!!

  • June Diane Raphael as Julie, the bachelorette
  • Michael Ian Black as Chris Harrison, the host
  • Adam Scott as Damien, Mark’s former “psychologist”
  • Joe Lo Truglio as the single dad who’s emotional about not seeing his son

Luckily you can still watch it here on Yahoo.

We here at Ok! Here is the Situation! have to give Burning Love 2 a coveted 4 1/2 clasped hands for being an amazing situation. The only reason it failed to capture 5 full stars is that it slows down a little in the middle, but hang in there because the end will not disappoint!!
