Good God! We have been waiting FOREVER for the second season of Bachelor Canada to air since the first one was such a huge success…well except for the part where Brad and Bianka broke up. But to be fair the two were definitely in love for some time and separated due to geographic issues.
So alas, the 10-episode season of The Bachelor Canada 2014 aired tonight and we know that Tim Warmels, the handsome, hazel-eyed Toronto entrepreneur, is happy and engaged to one of his amazing ladies!
The Campbellville, Ont native was raised by his parents who’ve have been married more than 30 years. Tim spoke to The HuffPo Canada about his epic journey.
“My parents have shown me what unconditional love truly means and I am ready to find the one person with whom I can share that. I have so much respect for the 25 amazing women who are putting it all on the line to go on this journey with me and I can’t wait to meet them.”
“Oh hell, I’m surprised there hasn’t been a gay Bachelor already,” Warmels proclaims. “I think people would love that. I think it would be great.”
The self-confessed nerd said this about his obliviousness to the importance of the role.
“I had heard of it, but nobody sat me down and was like, ‘Here’s what you don’t do.’ I’m not really involved in that world,” he laughs. “I mean, I’ll sit there in cafes reading Scientific American, not People Magazine. It’s just not part of my life. And I think that actually gave me an advantage because it allowed me not to be biased towards anything else that actually happened. It allowed me just to do this the way that I wanted to do it and make it my own.”
Tim reveals that he is looking to actually get married!

“It was very difficult to leave some of my past relationships, because for that period in my life they were amazing relationships,” he explains. “On a day-to-day basis they made me very happy. But knowing that I was willing to leave those relationships because I could tell that in the long distant future they wouldn’t be leaving me satisfied, that’s how I knew that I was very, very ready to get hitched!”
The season features some amazing ladies with some amazing occupations! – 30-year-old April Borgnetta, a ”Vagician” from Victoria, Natalie Elliott, 27-year-old Elementary French Teacher from Cambridge, ON, Andrea, the 30-year-old Dental Hygienist from Kelowna, B.C., a nurse, a receptionist, a personal trainer, a waitress and hairstylist, an ER doctor and a lingerie model, 42-year-old Sonia, from Calgary, and April Brockman, 27-year-old Realtor from Wasaga Beach, ON.
“The Bachelor Canada” debuts Season 2 on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on City.
