How in the world did ABC convince Bachelor Ben Higgins and fiancee Lauren Bushnell to do another reality show?! This is honestly the last thing I was expecting from the quiet couple who I thought were done with reality television forever.
But alas the two have signed a deal to do a Bachelor spinoff called Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After produced by Freeform.
The show will follow the couple as they plan their wedding and life together.
So what can we expect? Apparently Ben will look in to running for politics (no, don’t do it Ben!!), and Lauren will try to “establish her identity post-Bachelor.”
Executive vice president of programming and development at Freeform, Karey Burke, said “Their romance captured everyone’s attention, and we are delighted to continue their story on Freeform.”
Hmmmm, I’m not sure about this situation. I’m certainly excited to see more Ben and Lauren, but I’m not sure this will end well given the history of couples who film reality show.
