New ABC Bachelor 19 Chris Soules aka ‘Hot Farmer’ is the 4th generation farmer from the tiny town of Arlington, Iowa that stole the show last season on The Bachelorette.
Unfortunately he did not win the affection of Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, but he did win the affection of America.
The 6′-1″ ruggedly handsome, humble, charming and romantic businessman is a Farmland Investment Specialist, and a Farm Manager at Summit Farms, and Soules Farms located in Alden and he is very rich.
His family owns a 6,000-acre farm where they raise their 12,000 hogs and grow soybean and corn.
Although Soules refuses to comment on his financial wealth the land value and equipment prices alone needed to run a farm of that size put his income in the multi-million dollar area. Also in a USA TODAY story, last year host Chris Harrison said:
“If you say he’s just a farmer, you’re missing it. He’s a millionaire. Very good-looking guy. He really wants to find a wife and live the American dream.”
Additionally Chris Soules father Gary Soules was paid $1,033,231 between 1995 and 2012 in farm subsidies from the USDA.
And if you are wondering about his politics, a topic the show never addresses, he is a Republican.
Chris actually attended a Texas Governor Rick Perry event during the show. This is bound to cause some controversy.
So hopefully Prince Farming can find his ‘Soules’-mate and someone who shares his values and someone who LOVES Iowa–alot!
