Kalon McMahon’s net worth? He’s a millionaire!

Kalon McMahon, The Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad’s spoiled rich guy/luxury brand consultant is supposedly worth $3 million dollars according to net worth tracker celebritynetworth.com. Since this Houston born native landed his helicopter at the Bachelor Mansion on night one of Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette, fans have been trying to figure out exactly how rich this guy is. Interestingly, his net worth appears to be the same as winner Jef Holm’s, who opted to ride in on a skateboard not a helicopter.

I recently discovered Kalon’s college blog, and it reveals some insight into Kalon’s obsession with money.

His blog says this:

“How are people supposed to know how much money you have unless you show them right?

This overwhelming sense of urgency to take advantage of the marketplace is the direct result of the fact I have been fortunate enough to witness firsthand the path and potential of being your own boss. Smart enough to acknowledge that their powers combined are far more beneficial than attempting to tackle the economy alone, my 26 year-old brother, Newton Hopkins, and his entourage of entrepreneurs (all SMU graduates) have taken Dallas by storm. While each is equipped with their own area of expertise, commercial real-estate seems to be their collaborative drug of choice.”

So there you have it. Kalon’s preoccupation with money is certainly a situation. We are still trying to learn more about his family — like why does his brother have a different last name? We know he was raised by a single mom, but it seems that money was never a problem for the family.

His brother is Newton Hopkins, the son of Harold Newton Hopkins, Jr.  He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity and is now the Managing Partner of Trademark Development, LLC. So it looks like Kalon was the benefactor of some nepotism and also works for the same company (although I’m not certain of this yet).

We will keep you posted on this situation!
