It looks like Ben was actually born in the middle east where his mom and dad met, and spent part of his youth in Cairo, Egypt.
His parents met in Iran at the time of the revolution. His father George was an American citizen and his mom Soraya was Iranian. The two escaped during the revolution. But his parents divorced early on and Ben was raised primarily by his mom.

Ben graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in systems engineering and economics. He chose a career in business and moved to New York to begin work as an investment banker (Ut oh, this could be a situation).

He worked with the Perot family in Texas but then decided to start his own business with his brother. He and his brother built a maritime shipping company headquartered in Dubai. Ben was asked to work for the royal family of Abu Dhabi and became the youngest investment manager at the sovereign wealth fund. This is getting INTERESTING! this guy is NOT a State Farm Insurance Agent!
After years of living and working abroad, Ben decided to return home to Dallas.
Non-Profit Work
Patton is also a philanthropist – he helped build an orphanage in Uganda and donates proceeds of his business to the Dhaka Project, a charity that takes kids out of the Bangladesh slums and puts them in school.
Hobbies
Patton enjoys playing soccer and flag football, kickboxing, jogging and traveling.
