Sarah Herron, the 27-year-old Junior Art Director from Marina Del Rey, CA on Bachelor in Paradise seemed like the most level headed of the BIP bunch—at least until Brooks Forester entered paradise! Initially she had her sights set on Marcus Grodd, but Marcus was clearly smitten by Lacy right off the bat so Sarah eventually gave in to suitor Robert Graham.
Things seem to be going great between Sarah and Robert. Robert is clearly smitten with the Art Director and it seemed like the feeling was mutual — until Brooks Forester landed in paradise that is. Sarah confesses that she came on the show to meet Brooks!!! Whaaaat??? Where did that come from? Earlier she was all about Marcus. So this confession was a bit shocking.
So Chris Harrison weighs in in his EW blog,
“Brooks was the first new arrival this week, and it sent Sarah into a tailspin. Yes, the girl that was begging for love, a date and attention from one of the guys and seems to have found it with Robert now has her eyes on Brooks. It took all of two seconds for Sarah to want to drop Robert like third period French and go after Brooks. In fact she was about to dump the poor guy when he pulled an ace out of his sleeve with the note and the date on the beach. Suddenly Sarah was the happiest, luckiest girl in the world. So Brooks ended up taking Jackie on a date to Casa Banana, which loosely translated means house banana, I think. In all seriousness, this is a great place to eat dinner in Tulum. Brooks and Jackie hit it off and all the sudden there was a battle for Jackie’s heart between Brooks and Zach.”
To put this crush into perspective Sarah had actually met Brooks prior to Paradise at Juan Pablo Galavis’s After the Final Rose taping. ABC producers are tricky. I am sure they made sure to cast contestants who already had a crush on each other to ensure sparks would fly.
But obviously Sarah had no idea that Brooks would be arriving when she started hanging out with Robert.
Robert had a serious talk with Brooks before he chose his date letting him know that Sarah was off limits. Sarah commented that normally she would find that attractive in a guy but was torn because of her feelings for Brooks. Robert busts out a seriously romantic date for Sarah which convinces her to stick with him.
“Strangely Brooks being here has helped me to realize Robert is the guy for me,” she claims …. “This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for, this is what I love, this is what I’ve always wanted.”
She later goes on to say this….”I can only imagine I’ll definitely be falling in love with Robert”.
So Sarah is a bit of a situation after all! In the end she took the safe bet and stayed with Robert, but her crush on Brooks does not bode well for a future with Robert.
