Holy Crap! We really want to NOT believe the crazy Us Weekly rumors about Emily Maynard sexting (I mean, since when do single mom’s sext?!). And we really, really, really want to believe that everything between Bachelorette Emily and Jef Holm is happily forever after.
But according to Mr. Spoiler Reality Steve, the tabloids were actually right. He insists Mike Holm was not paid for his story — reinforcing the veracity of his claim that he went to US Weekly on his own volition to report the news that Emily had sexted with another guy.
And now we know that other guy is 29-year-old Oakland Raiders quarterback and single dad Matt Leinart. Leinart is no stranger to television. He has made appearances on Punk’d with Ashton Kutcher, and ABC’s Desperate Housewives! (What is going on with all the people from Desperate Housewives hooking up with Bachelor Nation — remember Courtney Robertson and Jesse Metcalfe?) Leinart also appeared in the 2008 film The House Bunny and on Hell’s Kitchen.
The football player is also no stranger to contestants of the Bachelor franchise as he allegedly flirted with Ali Fedotowsky in July of 2010. According to an eye witness at a charity event the two attended: “Matt finally asked for Ali’s phone number and she happily gave it to him. He promised that he’d call her; she must be over the moon about catching the eye of such a hot guy!”
Perhaps this is the same event where Emily Maynard met Leinart, since it occurs after the show tapes but before the finale airs.

Obviously things with Ali Fedotowsky and Matt Leinart didn’t work out, but what is up with this guy and Bachelorettes? And why for the love of God, is single mom Emily Maynard sexting!?
According to Us Weekly, Emily was caught sexting him while on vacation with Jef’s family at a beach house in Pawleys, Island, South Carolina when Jef allegedly discovered very explicit text messages and photos to and from Matt Leinhart. Jef’s brother Mike Holm contacted US Weekly to say:
“I can tell you that it’s all 100% true. I was there and I heard the fight and watched the whole thing go down, Emily leaving and everything,” ….”I love my brother very much and, like the rest of our family, I just want him to be happy.”
The messages understandably led to an explosive fight between the two. But apparently they worked through it since Jef is planning to move to Charlotte next week.
Wow! I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of this one. Reality Steve will likely get a “source” (and by source I’m pretty sure Steve has a phone tap on Bachelor producers and contestants) to give him the full story. We are staying tuned!
