Chris Soules arrested for leaving scene of fatal crash

A sad story in Bachelor Nation today. 35-year-old former Bachelor and Arlington, Iowa farmer Chris Soules was arrested at his house Monday night on charges of leaving the scene of a fatal crash according to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say Soules left the scene after rear-ending a tractor on Slater Ave north of Aurora around 8:20 pm Monday night in his pick-up truck. Sadly the driver of the tractor, Kenneth Mosher, 66 of Aurora, was killed in the crash.

Court documents show police found alcohol containers in the pickup truck at the scene of the crash.

The tractor and pickup ended up in opposite ditches. Witnesses identified Soules leaving the scene of the accident.soules-crash

The former Bachelor was found and arrested at his home on B Avenue near Arlington, Iowa, approximately 10 miles from where the crash happened.

He posted $10,000 bond Tuesday morning.chris-soules-mugshot

Soules and his family own farmland in the area where the crash happened.

Mosher, the victim in the crash, also owns farmland in the area where the crash happened.soules-court

Unfortunately, it’s not the first time Chris has been arrested. However he has never been arrested for such a serious offense.

In 2006 a 24-year-old Soules was arrested for a DUI and served one year of probation. In addition to that he has been pulled over or apprehended numerous other times by police.
