Bravo Southern Charm star and Executive Producer Whitney Sudler Smith will appear on season 3 of the hit show alongside Craig Conover, Thomas Ravenel, Kathryn Dennis, Cameran Eubanks, Shep Rose, Patricia Altschul, and Landon Clements. Whitney is a rather polarizing figure on the show. He is very close to politician Thomas Ravenel, but not so close with the other stars.
Here are some interesting things to know about Southern Charm star.
1: He’s an only child like his mother–He was born June 2, 1968 to mother Patricia Altschul and father Lon Hayes Smith in Washington, D.C.

2: He does not live in Charleston full time…maybe even barely at all. Whitney splits his time between Charleston, South Carolina where he works on the show and Los Angeles where he continues to pursue film production.
3: He went to Oxford University as well as George Washington University.

4: He released a pretty successful documentary about Roy Halston, Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston in 2010.
In addition to the Halston documentary Whitney put out several other films including, Going for Baroque, Afternoon Delight, Bubba and Ike, and Torture TV, starring Danny Huston and Trevor Goddard.
5: He’s a classically trained guitarist
6: He’s friends with the Prince of Monaco. In fact Prince Albert is a big fan of the show.
7: He is dating 24-year-old Austrian model Larissa Marolt. Her father is Heinz Anton Marolt, a former member of the Austrian Freedom Party and retired local politician and her mother is actress Elke famous for Anna und die Liebe.
8: He has a rather creepy tattoo on his right shoulder of what appears to be a cross between a lamb and a reindeer with a cross over it’s head. This may require an explanation Whitney!!
UPDATE: Thankfully someone has weighed in on the tattoo situation! She says its an image of a Jagermeister which only intensifies the mystery that is Whitney Sudler Smith.
