There had been rumors for some time that 33-year-old Bachelor/Arlington Iowa farmer Chris Soules and his new fiancé Whitney Bischoff were breaking up, but now it is official. They have ended their six-month engagement.
The Executive producer of The Bachelor/Bachelorette Mike Fleiss was the first to officially confirm the end of their engagement by tweeting,
“Sad news to report: @souleschris and @whitbisch are no longer engaged…”
Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement,” his rep said in a statement. “They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”
The fact that 29-year-old Chicago-based fertility nurse abruptly left Los Angeles a few weeks ago to go back to Chicago to see her family was quite telling.
Chris also appeared to be getting a bit too cozy with his DWTS partner Witney Carson.
Things must have been bad if they did not even wait until the holidays like failed Bachelor couples usually do. I actually think producers probably encouraged them to keep up appearances for a bit longer, but that was too unbearable for both. Yet another ring to return to ring designer Neil Lane. Sigh…..
